What is Adoption Triad Outreach?

Adoption Triad Outreach, founded in February of 1996 by M. StandingOne Farrell, and Marcella "LoneWalk" Farrell, was the first centralized adoption forum on line. The original forum included a free chat, discussion  boards an on-line searchable reunion registry, and a links library from just about anywhere in the world. Prior to this access to these types of forums were only available to members of Prodigy, AOL, and CompuServe. ATO is a place where triad members can share in a foundation of knowledge, enjoy a true feeling of 'community', find mutual support and understanding, and possibly healing.

Is Adoption Triad Outreach (ATO) an adoption agency?

ATO is not an adoption agency. As a courtesy, we provide resources for those of you who are considering adoption. ATO does not endorse these organizations. It is your responsibility to thoroughly investigate any agencies included to on the site. For those who are seeking to adopt we encouraged you to learn about the experiences of those touched by adoption by visiting the various areas of the ATO web site. We request that you make no direct inquiries as to where to locate an infant/child either in the chat rooms or on the discussion boards as this is in direct conflict with ATO's guidelines. I am having difficulty accessing some of the features on the site, am I doing something wrong?

No you are probably not doing anything wrong. The web is constantly growing with new users signing on all the time. With so many new users there are times that our servers are overloaded by requests. When this occurs we suggest that you wait and try again later. In most cases a 5 to 15 minute delay is all that is required. ATO and those who host our many features, strive to make this a speedy and pleasant experience. If you should have any questions concerning a certain area of the website, please see the Help Contacts section of our site.
