Adoption records are available by court order only. The Division of Youth and Family Services operates a registry for its placements only. Those individuals may contact:

All records of proceedings relating to adoption...shall be filed under seal by the Clerk of the Court and shall at no time be open to inspection...unless the Court is shown "good cause" and then at that time the records will be made available to the petitioner."
