Texas does have a Confidential Intermediary (CI) Program, be sure to ask about it when you call them.

Court records are closed upon adoption being final and a court order is required to release information from them. Many agencies will release non-identifying information to an adult involved party. AGE OF MAJORITY: 18 years old

Provides for a voluntary registry of adoptees, birth siblings and birth parents over age 21.

Section 16.032: Birth parents and/or the child placing agency will compile the health, social, educational, and genetic histories of the adoptee. This will be provided to the adoptive parents at or before placement of the adoptee, and to the adoptee at age of majority, and to surviving spouse or progeny upon death of adoptee.
