I am writing this as an experienced foster parent. I have been a foster parent for 6 years. I have opened my heart and my home too eight wonderful babies. We had to go trough lots of training as a family. We had to qualify to become foster parents through a home study and answer lots of questions.

The questions consisted of why we wanted to become foster parents. It is a very hard job to take care of foster babies because some come to us addicted to drugs or alcohol and others have very special needs.

We have been trough some rough times with these foster babies, one even died from S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), The death was very hard for my family. Even though this tragedy occurred, I still love what we have done for the foster babies.

It is so hard to care for them 24 hours a day from the time they come here to the time they leave. Letting them go back to their birth parents or adoptive parents is hard although we know they are going to a loving home. I would like to continue to care for these babies but with my family growing it is very hard, But the years spent was very important to me and would do it again.
